Mandela Day Initiatives

As we all know, Nelson Rolihlahla Mandela, an international icon, a hero to South Africa and its people, and a selfless friend, passed away in December 2013 – a sad time for all South Africans.

He served our country with pride, and brought peace to our people. Mandela’s legacy is set to live on for many years to come, through the people and initiatives who inspire and drive change, making the world a better place.

AAAKEE is committed to making the lives of displaced and underprivileged children better, by providing the things that they don’t always have access to. Each year, on Nelson Mandela International Day, we set out to assist those in need. Specifically, we set out to make contributions to our communities.

In 2015, we donated 250 hampers to displaced families and children. The various hampers included non-perishable foods, clothing, warm winter blankets, and other goodies (such as toys for the children).

We appeal to the public to either make a financial donation to this initiative (by using the link at the top right of this page), or to make a contribution in-kind. More details about what we’ll be doing each year can be obtained by getting in touch with us closer to the time.
