We're for the little humans. We're for their futures.

MIDRAND – On Saturday, 30 May 2015, 36 children from Ithembelihle Lsen School were treated on a day-trip to Lory Park Animal & Owl Sanctuary, one of our prime locations for day-trips.
Lory Park Animal & Owl sanctuary is a little haven one would not expect to find in the hustle and bustle between Johannesburg and Pretoria. Situated in Midrand, it is a what many people like to call a ‘boutique zoo’ – a place where animals can be appreciated up close, where human and animal interaction is welcomed, creating a personal and peaceful atmosphere.
In the past, we have enjoyed taking children from our various beneficiaries to this little haven. Lory Park has become one our favourite places for day-trips as there is no shortage of excellent service, and wonderful sights. Whilst small, the animals on display are a great sight for the children we take – and they learn so much about them too.
On the day, the children were treated to snacks and a full lunch, after a complete educational tour around the park, from big cat enrichment, bird watching, and feeding of the owls (quite a fantastic experience, I might add), to bird watching, the viewing of Ruby, the read-tailed Boa, and an encounter with Litcie, the Bearded Dragon.
