SOS Children's Villages Mamelodi to Lory Park Animal & Owl Sanctuary
On Saturday, 29 September 2012, we took 38 children from SOS Children’s Villages Mamelodi, Pretoria to the Lory Park Animal & Owl Sanctuary in President Park, Midrand.
The children were treated to a full tour of the park, the privilege to feed the owls (quite spectacular), an opportunity to encounter the bearded dragon, the tortoise, and a boa-boa snake. Afterwards, the children were treated to a full lunch, snacks, and drinks, as well as gift packs (these, courtesy Vo-Call Cellular, and One Communications).
