Upcoming Day-Trip to Lory Park Animal & Owl Sanctuary
One of our primary objectives as an organisation is to treat children from the various beneficiaries (homes) we support on a regular basis to educational, enjoyable day-trips and excursions. In the past, we have taken these children to popular destinations around Gauteng, and South Africa, such as the Johannesburg and Pretoria Zoo’s, the Van Galen Cheese Farm, Apartheid Museum, and the ATKV Illovo Beach in Durban, respectively.
We have planned to do another day-trip that involves taking approximately 50 children from the SOS Children’s Villages to the Lory Park Animal & Owl Sanctuary in President Park, Midrand on Saturday, 29 September.
Included in the costs are: Transport to and from Lory Park, Refreshments, snacks on the bus, A luncheon at the venue, Big Cat Enrichment, Big Cat Feeding, Bird watching, Two animal encounters, The meeting of Litcie, the Bearded Dragon, Two encounters of the Flying Owls, Viewing of Roby, the Red-tailed Boa, Viewing of Tom and Ted, the Leopard Tortoises, and a Jumping castle and jungle gym.
